Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
The Inclusive Education Department is led by a group of education professionals united in our mission to support and honor all learners and their families, including English language learners and individuals with exceptionalities. We accomplish this by developing educators who can effectively teach individuals with exceptionalities while addressing the unique needs of learners with varying social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. The core values of the department are grounded in a framework that situates the praxis and policy of teaching exceptional students in a context of fairness, impartiality, and access.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Inclusive Education (Special Education) for the academic year 2023-24. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the special education discipline

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:
  • A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a discipline related to Special Education or a closely related discipline is required

OR
  • A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required

To teach graduate courses:
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Special Education or a related discipline is required

AND
  • Three or more years teaching in PreK-12 grade classrooms


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Record of past teaching of graduate and undergraduate courses in special education
